Some sketches i did in 2007 for a Little Red Riding Hood comic with werewolves and assassins. |
Some 3 years back, i drew a sketch (not the one above) of Red Riding Hood reclining on a giant wolf with a woodcutter in the background. I thought that the original tale superimposed on an action oriented fantasy setting might make for a good comic book story... which still hasn't come to fruition. Perhaps now is a good time to reignite my passion for drawing.
Just for fun, anyone is welcome to post your continuation of this story, and then let someone else pick up from there...
Here are the characters:
- Little Red Riding Hood (aka. Sarah)
- The Werewolf (aka. the Beast of the Forest, aka, Snarl)
- The Woodcutter (aka. Jonn)
- The Grandmother (aka. The old One, aka, Tomasina)
LITTLE RED
Once upon a time... there was a tragic love story between a prince and a great beauty that culminated in the birth of a little girl named Sarah, and the death of the mother that very night. The child was born on the night of a strange full moon. She had beautiful fair skin and soft golden hair. But her pale eyes turned blood red in the darkness, piercing and shining like crimson rubies in the night, and lovely though she was, all knew that she carried with her a dark omen. When she turned 18 years of age, she was to be sent from the orphanage to live with her grandmother, the mysterious woman called Tomasina...
tomasina...who was half a tomato and was also a sinner, therefore the name tomasina
ReplyDeleteI got assignments due so ill crack my head another time k! hahaahhaha
so Sarah started off down the road into the jungle with a box of cookies and a shotgun... to find her grandmother
ReplyDeleteMany people stayed away from the Jungle of Shadows as many have ventured in never to return. Legend tells of dark creatures who lurk beneath the shadows. Creatures of mischief, creatures of evil.
ReplyDeleteSarah went back home and changed into a camoflarged jungle themed hood
ReplyDelete"Ah, how could I have forgotten my lucky charm."
ReplyDeleteSarah grabbed the military knife from the coffee table and fastened it to her thighs.
"Better get going before the sun rises. Hehe."
I Like it!
ReplyDeleteSarah enjoyed strolling in the jungle at night. The fresh cool air, the sounds of creatures moving about in the darkness, the full moon right above her head.
ReplyDeleteThe jungle was mysterious, serene and exciting to her.
She lighted up a cigarette, Malboro Lights, enjoying each puff as she strolled leisurely into the heart of the jungle.
As she walked down the dark path, Sarah sensed someone or something was following her. It was a bunny rabbit.
ReplyDelete"Oh, hi there little fella" she said.
"Sup" said the bunny.
She then ignored it and continued down the forest trail. She then sensed something else watching her every move...her eyes glowed red and she suddenly threw her dagger into the blackness!
